The Merseyside Maritime Museum has something for kids of all ages in the form of the many stories used to tell the maritime history of the city. There is a trail for the kids to follow with a Custom's Officer called Matt and there are live performances along its length. There are also tours available of the ships moored at the museum including the Edmund Gardner and the de Wadden Schooner. The museum has a play area for under five's including a dress up box and hands on activities to keep them occupied. There are also frequent temporary exhibits set up so there is something new to see all the time.
