Gnoll Estate was once the home of the wealthy industrial family, the Mackworths but today has been developed into a country park with something for all visitors. There is a recreated 18th century landscaped garden, deep woodlands, open spaces as well as three ponds and a reservoir. Ruins in the park include the Gnoll House, the Ivy Tower and the Half House and the story of their history is all told nearby. There are adventure playgrounds to explore, a 9 hole pitch and putt gold course as well as fishing areas or plenty of space to just enjoy the wildlife.
